Jewish Insider (JI) covers politics and policy – and the people driving it – in the U.S., Middle East and beyond.

Our team of journalists is on location around the world. From the White House and State Department briefing rooms and halls of Congress in D.C., to the campaign trail in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, our political reporters are your eyes and ears on the latest news and buzz. We also bring you the latest in culture and culture wars, from college campuses to leading institutions.

JI delivers a curated morning newsletter, the Daily Kickoff, which provides an overview of the news, buzz and stories that matter. The Daily Kickoff is distributed on weekday mornings. To subscribe to the Daily Kickoff, please click here.

In January 2021, JI acquired eJewishPhilanthropy.com. EJP is a must-read resource for foundation professionals, donors, organizational leaders and social entrepreneurs working in the philanthropic space. Sign up for eJP’s daily newsletter Your Daily Phil here.

Reporter
New York City

JI is looking for a sharp, aggressive, and enterprising reporter to own the New York City mayoral beat, covering Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his new administration. The ideal candidate is able to turn around copy quickly, display strong political instincts, demonstrate knowledge of Jewish communal issues, and have the drive to break news daily in one of the country’s most consequential political arenas.

Israel

eJewishPhilanthropy is looking for the next member of our team to assist with the production of our daily newsletter, Your Daily Phil. This will entail working Monday through Friday, primarily during 9-5 working hours, as well as a short team meeting with our American staff in the evenings on those days (generally 15-30 minutes). This involves tracking relevant developments in the Jewish philanthropic world, finding and writing about those developments in a concise and readable way and generally assisting the managing editor and other members of staff in the newsletter production process.
