Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day posting and engagement across select social platforms
• Participate in direct audience outreach and reader conversations
• Monitor breaking news and support timely, accurate social distribution
• Identify audience trends, recurring questions and engagement opportunities
• Coordinate with editorial and audience teams to maintain a consistent voice and tone

Qualifications

• Strong news judgment and interest in politics, policy, or public affairs journalism
• Comfort engaging directly with audiences in a professional, conversational manner
• Familiarity with major social platforms and messaging tools
• Ability to work quickly and calmly in a fast-paced news environment
• Excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail
• Experience working in or alongside a newsroom, media organization or digital publishing environment

Other Skills

• Comfort creating or working with basic graphics or short-form video is a plus, but not required
